We provide many opportunities to participate in various ways to give a hand up to our neighbors in need.
If you have a desire to help others we have a variety of ways you can get involved.
Located at the back of our parking lot is a free little pantry built and decorated by the youth and children of our church. It is always in need of restocking of food, toiletries and such things as are needed by those in our community
The first Sunday of every month, when we serve communion. B Dolllars are collected and the money donated to the Blessings in a Backpack program here in Mount Clemens that fills backpacks with food for children who may not have enough food to take home for to feed them over the weekend.
Our prayer shawl ministry is a group of knitters and crocheters that make prayer shawls that are blessed every year to be distributed to those in need of a covering prayer.
The Quilting Club meets Mondays at 10 am in our Fellowship Hall. There is no need to know how to quilt to participate.
The quilters recently finished 48 quilts to be given to Second Mile Center for children and families in Detroit.
The next quilts will go to youth aging out of the Foster Care System in Macomb County.
Come and join the team!
We are a praying church. Each week we send out prayer requests received. Each person prays for the person mentioned and may even send out cards. Anyone can join this group.
The gardeners of our community plant our community garden in May each year. The community is invited to come and harvest the vegetables that grow there. Watch Sunday announcements for work dates or contact us directly.
Donations to Father Bob's Pantry can be dropped off at the church weekly. Non-perishable items are appreciated. It is helpful to donate cans with pop-tops. Watch Sunday announcements for specific items being collected. The food goes to Grace Episcopal to be distributed to the community.
Our members can be spotted around our community serving others in various ways. Our families cook meals for those in need whether it be at Grace Episcopal, United Methodist Church or the Salvation Army located in Mount Clemens. If you love to cook, we can help you find ways to feed your neighbors.
